Information We Collect

  • Employee/staff name and role.
  • Mobile phone number used for optional staff check-in and arrival SMS alerts.
  • Consent decision data tied to each user profile, including whether consent was agreed or declined.
  • Consent metadata including consent timestamp and consent version when agreement is captured.

How Opt-In Consent Is Collected

  • Each staff member submits name and mobile number through the public form at /staff-sms-optin.
  • The form displays an unchecked SMS checkbox with clear disclosure language.
  • Staff must review the disclosure and provide explicit consent before optional SMS alerts can be enabled.
  • Submitted requests are reviewed by admin before optional SMS staff alerts are enabled for an employee.
  • Glossed Beauty never enables or sends SMS for a staff member unless stored consent exists for that employee.
  • SMS is not required for employment, scheduling, salon access, or receiving check-in alerts.
  • Staff who do not opt in to SMS can receive the same alerts through internet-based browser push notifications.

How We Use Information

  • To send optional generic SMS notifications to staff when someone checks in or arrives for an appointment.
  • SMS alerts only say that someone checked in, arrived, or is waiting.
  • SMS alerts do not include the guest's name, phone number, appointment details, or other customer-identifying information.
  • To operate this staff-notification function only, not marketing campaigns, customer texting, or analytics reporting.

SMS Consent and Non-Sharing

  • Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are used only for optional staff check-in and arrival alerts.
  • Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
  • Glossed Beauty does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties, affiliates, partners, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We share SMS data only with service providers required to deliver messages (for example, messaging platform and carrier partners) and only for delivery/operational purposes.

Message Frequency and Rates

  • Message frequency varies based on check-in and salon activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply according to each user's mobile plan.

Opt-Out and Support

  • Users may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
  • After opt-out, users will not receive SMS notifications unless they opt in again.
  • Users may request help by replying HELP or by contacting hello@glossedbeautygb.com.

Consent Verification and Record Retention

  • We retain consent records and related messaging logs as needed for compliance, audit, and dispute handling.
  • Consent records include the explicit agreement state, consent timestamp, and consent version captured from the staff opt-in and admin review workflow.

Data Retention and Security

  • We retain data only as needed for business operations, compliance, and auditability.
  • We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect stored information.

Policy Updates

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
  • Material updates will be reflected by revising the effective date on this page.
